Doctor May received his dental training at Northwestern University Dental School. He was subsequently accepted into a one year residency in Anesthesia at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and then returned to Northwestern University to complete his surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
After his graduation in 1991, he joined the faculty at the University of Chicago, where he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and the Department of Pediatrics. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally, and has participated in humanitarian efforts in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
He began his practice in the Red River Valley in 1999, and in addition to the general practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has a specific interest in dental implant reconstruction with challenging esthetic requirements.
Dr. May is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Board Certified) and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. He has also been inducted as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists.
His personal interests include power lifting, target shooting, hunting, and spending time with his boys, Harrison and Conor. But the true owners of his heart are his 4 french bulldogs, Edgar, Elmer, Edna, and Edison.

Amy has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She assists Dr. May and the staff in maintaining an efficient and relaxing office. She also coordinates Dr. May’s schedule and meetings. Amy is responsible for planning and managing various projects. If you have any questions regarding the practice, give her a call. Jamie started her career in pediatric dentistry. She has been in oral surgery for over 8 years now. Her extensive knowledge, patient care, and attention to detail helps make the implant process easy. Jamie loves talking to patients and making sure they are happy.

Dental Surgical Assistant
Alivia has been working part time in the dental field for the last 3 years while attending school. She has learned all aspects of the office from scheduling to patient care. She is currently attending Minnesota State to further her dental career. Her positive attitude, radiant smile, and “can do” personality makes her a great addition to the team.
Lisa has been in the dental field for almost three years, first starting out in general dentistry. She prides herself in the trust patients have in our care and loves to see the transformation of a functional, beautiful smile.

Tina is our LPN and has several years of oral surgery experience. With her skills, Tina rounds out our clinical staff perfectly. You can find her chatting with patients regarding their health history, monitoring vital signs, and answering questions regarding procedures and after care. Tina’s warm smile and knowledge helps ease nervous patients.
Amy has been in customer service for several years. She is the first smiling face you will see when you check in and the cheery voice on the phone. Amy will always find something to chat about and has a knack at making everyone she encounters feel welcome.
