Doctor May received his dental training at Northwestern University Dental School. He was subsequently accepted into a one-year residency in Anesthesia at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and then returned to Northwestern University to complete his surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
After his graduation in 1991, he joined the faculty at the University of Chicago, where he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and the Department of Pediatrics. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally, and has participated in humanitarian efforts in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
He began his practice in the Red River Valley in 1999, and in addition to the general practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has a specific interest in dental implant reconstruction with challenging esthetic requirements.
Dr. May is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Board Certified) and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. He has also been inducted as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists.
His personal interests include power lifting, target shooting, hunting, and spending time with his boys, Harrison and Conor. But the true owner of his heart is his French bulldog, Elmer!

Amy has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She assists Dr. May and the staff in maintaining an efficient and relaxing office. She also coordinates Dr. May’s schedule and meetings. Jamie started her career in pediatric dentistry. She has been in oral surgery for over 10 years now. Her extensive knowledge, patient care, and attention to detail helps make the implant process easy. Jamie loves talking to patients, educating them on procedures, and making sure they are happy with their outcome and experience.

Tina is our RN and has several years of oral surgery experience. With her skills, Tina rounds out our clinical staff perfectly.
